Independence Day Fiesta

Independence  Day was celebrated in S.D.Public School, Pitam Pura on 13th August 2016   with great spirit of patriotism and nationalism. The function kicked off with unfurling of the tricolor by the honorable Chief Guest , Ms. Mamta Nagpal , Chairperson of Education Committee, North Delhi Municipal Corporation . Chairman of the school Shri Krishan Lal Bansal , office bearers and many dignitaries graced the event. The Principal, Ms. Anita Sharma welcomed the guests and highlighted the glorious achievements of the school laden with stellar performances of students and teachers in all spheres of school life. Deepanshu Jindal , exceptionally bright student of the school who got All India Ist Rank in IIT JEE Mains Exams was honored on this occasion. Yoga students were acknowledged for their remarkable achievements  in CBSE Yoga National Championship and National level Yoga championship(Yoga Federation of India).
Students presented a melodious Orchestra performance which mesmerized the audience. A dance drama ‘Udaan’ depicting iconic journey of Indias’ development since independence to the present times of digitalization and ‘Make in India’ with fusion of Yoga and dance of different cultures & regions, showcasing the country’s strength and splendor , inspiring youth to remain in India curbing ‘brain drain’ – enthralled the spectators . The Chief guest applauded the students for scintillating performance depicting gist of past 69 years of  development and changing image  of India. She appreciated the thought process and vision of the school Principal for taking the institution to new heights and horizons.
The function culminated with vote of thanks by the Chairman of the school to all the guests present in the event.
